A delegation from the African Parliament, today, Sunday, visited the port boat Tangier Mediterranean.

The delegation is led by the speaker of the African Parliament, Fortchion Charmpea Zivania, and also includes the four deputies of the President, respectively, Mrs. Masouda Mohamed Laqdam, Gao Ashiber and Al -Dargiorgis, Mendes Gonquels Dos Pasus Lucia Maria, and Ango Nadotom Francois, President of the Regional Group of Eastern Africa Mondon Michel Terring Hugus, The Egyptian deputies, Chairman of the Committee for International Cooperation, Relations and Settlement of Conflicts in the African Parliament, Sharif Mustafa Al -Jabali.

The delegation also includes a rapporteur of the International Cooperation, Relations and Settlement of Conflicts Committee, Kumbi Lumi Bedou, deputy at the National Association of Mullena Campabba Shaim, and the deputy in the parliament of the Kingdom of Swatini, Musta Zenitumbi Tandy, and a number of frameworks of the African Parliament.

The visit was an occasion to see a number of structured projects launched by Morocco, especially the port complex Tangier and its position in global trade, and highlighting the importance of these port infrastructures in order to support and develop international trade.

During this visit, the members of the African Parliament delegation reviewed this visit, which took place in the presence of the Speaker of Parliament Rashid Al -Talbi Al -Alami, the worker of the examination, Anjar Abdel -Khaleq Al -Marzouki and the Director General of the Port Authority, Tangier Mediterranean, Hassan Genius and a number of officials, on the facilities of the port complex, Tangier Mediterranean, its facilities and its role as a bridge a central logistical international And as a model of integration into international trade.

The visit was marked by the presentation of Mr. Hassan Al -Jakhiri for a presentation on the port complex Tangier Mediterranean, during which he stressed the importance of this huge project launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, reviewing the various stages of its completion and development to become among the global platforms.

After indicating that the Mediterranean Port has been in the forefront of African ports for 5 years, and the top of the Mediterranean ports two years ago, Mr. Baqi confirmed that this port infrastructure plays an important role as a recharge and container handling center.

In a statement to the M24, affiliated with the Maghreb Arab News Agency, Mr. Fortyon Zivia confirmed that the delegation is on an official visit to Morocco, from 24 to 27 September, at the invitation of the Moroccan Parliament, pointing out that this visit aims to strengthen cooperation relations and benefit from Moroccan experience in several fields.

The President of the African Parliament stressed that the members of the delegation are dazzled by the great development in the Tangier Mediterranean boat, the largest port for container handling in Africa and the Mediterranean, which has a treatment capacity of up to the handling of 9 million containers and 7 million passengers.

He stressed that “thanks to these modern infrastructure and advanced technology, the Mediterranean port has become one of the leading marine platforms in the world,” calling on Morocco to share this “unprecedented experience” in the field with African countries.

The president of this elected continental body stressed that Morocco has proven, through the Tangier Mediterranean Port, that “Africa can take the initiative and develop itself,” adding that “we need to share this experience with other African countries with the aim of advancing the continent’s development.”

For her part, Masouda Mohamed Laqdam, the first deputy of the African Parliament Speaker, indicated that the visit is suitable for the members of the delegation to see the Tangier Mediterranean port and its role in attracting foreign investments, creating job opportunities and advancing trade exchanges regionally and internationally.

“We are dazzled by the high achievements in the Kingdom under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and the Kingdom has already witnessed a real boom, an economic, social boom and even a political boom,” she said.

After praising the warm reception that the African Parliament delegation received from the Moroccan authorities, Mrs. Masouda Mohamed, Cleaning, expressed her wishes for more “security, stability and advancement of the Kingdom of Morocco.”

In turn, the third deputy, Mendes Gonclago, Doss Basus Lucia Maria, considered that the visit is an occasion to closely approach the initiatives that Morocco undertook in favor of Africa, and to see the series of economic integration of the Kingdom in Africa, noting that the port complex Tangier Mediterranean showed that this integration passes through construction Huge infrastructure.

She said that “Morocco, thanks to the wise vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has made important progress at all levels,” noting that “African integration requires coordination of economic policies, especially in the public sector.”
